The story behind Inner Harmonies, the people behind the vision, the goal ahead.

More than healing - a movement toward living fully

Throughout our work in medicine, we saw firsthand what the system lacked - how people were treated as symptoms rather than whole beings, how life was often rushed through instead of deeply lived. We experienced it ourselves, in our friends, in our family: the exhaustion that comes from treating life as an obligation rather than a gift.

Running a guesthouse later on, we welcomed people from all over the world, and something beautiful happened—they trusted us with their stories. Everyday struggles, deep life questions, quiet longings for something more. These conversations sparked a realization: healing isn’t just about fixing what’s broken, it’s about creating a space where people feel truly seen, heard, and supported.

Our journey into somatic psychotherapy brought everything together. We found an approach that resonated—a way to help people reconnect with themselves, their bodies, and their own sense of balance. But we knew we didn’t want to do this alone.

Inner Harmonies was born from a desire to build something bigger than individual healing. It’s a space for community, for taking life into our own hands rather than just following the path laid out for us. It’s about breaking old patterns, embracing a more embodied way of living, and supporting each other as we grow.

That’s why it’s not Inner Harmony but Inner Harmonies. Because this journey isn’t just about one person - it’s about all of us, together. And when we cultivate harmony within, we can’t help but spread it into the world around us.

And that’s how real change begins.

The People behind the Vision

For us, Inner Harmonies is more than just an idea - it’s a reflection of what we deeply believe in. We’ve walked our own paths of questioning, searching, and transforming, and we know how powerful it is to feel truly seen and supported. That’s why we do this work.

Our role isn’t to give you all the answers but to walk beside you as you find your own. We love creating a space where you can slow down, reconnect with yourself, and build the life you truly want. Nothing is more fulfilling than seeing someone step into their own power - not by changing who they are, but by fully embracing themselves.

We’re always looking to connect with people who resonate with this vision. If you feel drawn to this work and would like to collaborate, reach out—we’d love to hear from you.

Therapy and Coaching Online

Hey, my name is Niki and I see the extraordinary in everyday.

  • I am a founder of Inner Harmonies and a therapist and retreat & workshop facilitator. I work online and in-person and speak English, Portuguese and Slovenian fluently and have a good understanding of Spanish and Croatian.

  • For me, life isn’t about fitting into predefined molds but about discovering what feels right for you and embracing it fully. My work is about accompaniment—walking alongside you as you explore what makes you feel safe, whole, and truly alive.

At Inner Harmonies, I want to help you bridge the gap between understanding yourself and truly experiencing life in a way that feels natural and authentic. Many of us have learned to live in our heads, disconnected from our bodies and emotions, myself included. However, in my studies and personal therapy, I realised real transformation happens when we integrate all parts of ourselves - when we stop just thinking about change and start feeling it on a deep, somatic level. Whether you are navigating stress, burnout, or simply longing for a greater sense of connection, my goal is to support you in finding safety, strength, and resilience within yourself.

I also believe that personal growth doesn’t happen in isolation. We grow through relationships - through being seen, heard, and understood. My approach is grounded in co-regulation, helping you develop the inner resources to not only process challenges but also cultivate joy, authenticity, and meaningful relationships. If you are looking for a space that is warm, intuitive, and grounded in both science and deep human connection, I would love to walk this path with you.

  • From a young age, I was drawn to both nature and human connection—barefoot on the earth, feeling its grounding energy, while also being curious about the people around me. My interest in the human body and mind led me to study medicine, where I graduated with honors.

During my studies I was drawn to the field of Psychiatry and I completed a training and internship in Psychiatry in the Clinical Hospital of the University of Sao Paulo.  I also had the opportunity to live and study abroad through the Erasmus program, spending two semesters in Lisbon and one in Santander. These experiences not only deepened my medical knowledge but also broadened my perspective on different healthcare systems and  cultures. Immersing myself in new environments, adapting to different ways of life, and connecting with people from diverse backgrounds reinforced my belief that there is no single "right" way to live—only the way that feels true to each individual. This time also strengthened my love for Portugal, eventually leading me to make it my home.

After my studies I completed my internship at Slovenia’s largest hospital UKC Ljubljana. While working in a hospital setting, especially in the Emergeny care unit I attended many patients in their moments of crisis. I learnt how to create a safe space for them and trained to regulate myself to offer the best care possible. However, I felt that conventional medicine often missed the most essential piece—the person behind the diagnosis. I wanted to work in a way that honored the whole person, not just their symptoms.

In search of a more integrative approach I moved to Portugal and began my training in Biointegration, a somatic psychotherapy modality that bridges body, mind, and spirit. Here, I found an approach that resonated with my beliefs - one that understands personal growth as a full-body experience rather than just an intellectual process. I am now a supervised student at the Mentara Institute, continuously refining my skills to support individuals and groups on their path.

Beyond my studies, I co-founded a surf guesthouse on the Portuguese coast. Running this business has been an unexpected but powerful part of my personal and professional growth. The guesthouse has become more than just a place for travelers—it has been a space where people arrive in transition, seeking clarity, transformation, and a deeper connection to themselves. Through countless conversations with guests, I have learned that people often need more than just a place to stay; they need a space where they can feel safe, seen, and supported.

Outside of my professional life, I am deeply connected to nature. Being in nature, whether walking through forests or surfing in the ocean, is one of the most fulfilling things for me. Traveling is another passion of mine—I love exploring new cultures, learning new languages, and seeing the world through different perspectives. I also love to read and learn new things, always eager to expand my knowledge in all areas of life. I also have a deep appreciation for mindfulness and meditation, which have been invaluable in my own journey. Through years of practice and formal training, I have learned to stay present in the moment, cultivating a sense of awareness and balance that I integrate into both my personal life and my work with others. One thing I firmly believe: there is no such thing as "normal." There is no one right way to live, and I am a strong advocate for doing things in a way that feels true to who you are.

Hey, my name is Eva and I believe enjoyment isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity.

  • I am a founder of Inner Harmonies and a therapist and retreat & workshop facilitator. I work online and in-person and speak English, Portuguese and Slovenian fluently and have a good understanding of Spanish and German.

  • For me, pleasure and presence aren’t just about grand experiences; they’re about noticing the details - the warmth of sunlight on your skin, the depth of a meaningful conversation, the way your body feels when you move. Whether it’s through exploring sensuality, reconnecting with your senses, or simply slowing down to truly experience the moment, here at Inner Harmonies I want to help you rediscover and use that what makes you feel alive.

At the same time, I believe that true enjoyment comes when we feel safe and grounded in ourselves. That’s why boundariesare at the core of my work - not just setting them, but maintaining them in a way that feels natural and empowering. Many of us struggle to define where we end and others begin, but strong boundaries create the space for real freedom, self-respect, and fulfilling relationships.

What sets me apart is my ability to trust my intuition while staying deeply connected to reality. I move through life with a balance of instinct and reflection, drawing from both personal exploration and the wisdom passed down on me through generations. To me, self-discovery isn’t about chasing a single truth—it’s about navigating the complexities of who we are, where we come from, and what we need to thrive.

I take a practical, down-to-earth approach to self-awareness, one that goes beyond abstract concepts and into real, tangible ways to build confidence, clarity, and fulfillment. If you’re looking to better understand yourself, strengthen your boundaries, and bring more enjoyment into your life, I’d love to help you get there.

  • I am a medical doctor and have graduated with honors from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. Throughout my studies, I was deeply drawn to psychology and psychiatry, working in a psychiatric office where I provided support at various levels and gained valuable hands-on experience. Volunteering played a significant role in my early career—I worked as a young doctor in a psychiatric ward and engaged in mental health promotion in schools, further solidifying my passion for holistic well-being.

After completing my studies, I worked in the emergency department of the largest hospital in my country. My time as a medical doctor gave me extensive experience in working with people, conducting consultations, and holding space for patients in a variety of challenging situations. However, while the fast-paced ER environment sharpened my medical expertise, I felt something was missing in my approach. I realized that focusing solely on diagnostics often overlooked the deeper, more personal aspects of my patients' experiences. My body echoed this sentiment—I began experiencing persistent health issues, eventually recognizing the need to listen to what it was telling me.

Seeking a more integrative approach, I discovered the field of somatic psychotherapy and moved across Europe to attend a Biosynthesis training program in Lisbon, Portugal. I am currently an intern therapist at Mentara, where I am completing my training in Somatic Psychotherapy while undergoing regular supervision.

During this time, I also co-founded a surf guesthouse on the coast—an unexpected but invaluable experience that taught me how to work with people from diverse backgrounds, maintain professional and personal boundaries, and cultivate presence in human interactions.

Beyond my professional journey, I have a deep love for animals. Since moving to Portugal, I have been actively volunteering with a local animal welfare association to address the serious problem of stray cats. Through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) efforts and adoption initiatives, I have helped over 30 street cats find loving homes. This work has been incredibly fulfilling and has reinforced my belief in the importance of care, compassion, and community.

To further expand my expertise, I pursued additional training, including the Somatic Toolkit for a Resilient Nervous System course in Lisbon, a Sexology course with Maria del Mar, and certifications in Emotional Intelligence Life Coaching and Integrative Sex and Couples Therapy with Tammy Nelson. Each of these experiences has enriched my understanding of the human psyche and body, shaping the way I support individuals in their healing and personal growth.

Now, I am bringing together all of my knowledge and skills to offer a truly holistic approach—one that integrates medicine, psychology, and somatic practices. My goal is to hold a safe space for individuals to explore their experiences, build resilience, and reconnect with themselves in a meaningful way. Through this journey, I have also learned to live life more fully, embracing balance, presence, and a deeper connection to both myself and those around me.

Hey, my name is Bianca and my yoga will lead you beyond the mat.

  • I am a team member here at Inner Harmonies as a certified yoga teacher, and retreat & workshop facilitator. My yoga lessons are held in-person and I speak fluently English, Portuguese, German, Spanish and Hungarian.

  • “Who am I really?”, “What do I want and need?”, “Am I on the right path, and what is my purpose in this life?”

For much of my life, I didn’t have the time or space to truly pause and reflect on these questions, even though they were always quietly whispering to me. I was living according to external societal values, doing what I thought was "right," and had little opportunity to listen to my own inner voice and intuition. In today’s loud, busy, and distracting world, recognizing our needs and giving ourselves permission to pause, check in, and act from a place of integrity and self-love can be challenging. We fear appearing selfish, losing the people around us, or making the wrong decision. Simply put, we are sometimes afraid of change. However, like all things in life, re-establishing and nurturing our connection to ourselves is a process that takes time. With each small step we take toward choosing ourselves daily, we create the potential for significant change, moving closer to the life we want to live.

I believe it all starts when we intentionally allow ourselves to hit the pause button. The practice of Yoga, which includes Pranayama (breathwork), Asana (postures), and meditation, offers a chance to turn inward and observe the movements of our mind—a unique moment in the day where we don’t need to be anyone, do anything, or please anyone.

As someone who has always been curious about studying the mind, thought patterns, and belief systems, I found myself drawn to Mental Training. I discovered many parallels between the ancient study of Yoga and modern psychology-based Mental Training.

My vision is to provide a space—both on and off the mat—where you can safely embark on a journey of self-inquiry and exploration, and support you as you slowly dismantle barriers and uncover your true self.

  • My journey into holistic well-being began during my studies in International Business and Management in Vienna, when I started working part-time as a personal trainer. My focus was on supporting women in achieving their goals—not just physically, but also helping them discover the mental challenges that lay hidden beyond the surface. As I supported others, I also sought my own path of self-discovery.

This led me to a small coastal town in Portugal, where I broke free from the life I thought I was supposed to lead. While yoga had always been part of my life, it wasn’t until I worked as a full-time chef at a yoga retreat that I immersed myself in the practice. Inspired by the depth of yoga, I completed my 200-hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training and dove into the transformative power of pranayama, asana, and meditation.

For the next two years, I taught and hosted a Yoga and Surf Retreat, deepening my understanding of movement, flow, and stillness.Yet, my curiosity about the human experience extended beyond the yoga mat. I had always been fascinated by the power of the mind, the stories we tell ourselves, and the ways we shape our reality. This led me to deepen my knowledge with a specialization in Mental Training, exploring self-image, mindset shifts, and how to create a life that feels truly aligned—one that brings peace, success, and fulfillment without burnout.
